Not a job but a career

Rotherwood helped me find a permanent role with a really interesting, fun, and dynamic local business that suited my skillset and my personality - it was exactly what I wanted in a job. Unfortunately that company faced some unforeseen difficulties and I was made redundant, which felt at the time like a real set back and a knock to my confidence. However, just weeks later, Rotherwood had found me another permanent role! 

The Rotherwood team really took the time to understand what I wanted from my career, and who I was as an individual, in order to recommend me for me a job that matched my wants and requirements (a good salary, the right working hours, etc.), but also aligned with my values and had the potential for development. 

The team also helped me overcome some of the things I found challenging about the process: looking for a job can feel high pressure, time consuming, and sometimes stressful, but they supported me with crafting a CV that sold me to great employers, and they even helped me with interview techniques, as I found that particularly tricky and nerve-racking. 

I have now worked in my current role, with an organisation that shares my ethical and environmental values, for almost two years. In that time I’ve been promoted to a higher level role and started studying for a qualification. 

I definitely have the Rotherwood team to thank for assisting me in finding not just a ‘job’, but a career, with prospects for progressio
