Senior Dispersed Housing Officer – Temporary Cover

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Dispersed Housing Officer to provide temporary cover for a long-term sickness absence within a homelessness and supported housing service in Bury.

Working as part of a wider homelessness and prevention service, you will be responsible for delivering effective housing management and resident engagement across dispersed temporary accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload of residents across dispersed accommodation
• Carrying out housing management duties and regular resident visits
• Supporting residents to maintain their accommodation and tenancy
• Responding to housing-related issues and resolving problems effectively
• Maintaining accurate records and completing regular 1:1 sessions with residents
• Working closely with internal teams and external agencies
• Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding and support needs
• Building positive, professional relationships with residents

About You:

• Previous experience within housing, supported housing, homelessness or a similar environment is highly desirable
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage a caseload and work independently
• Organised with strong time-management and record-keeping skills
• Confident dealing with challenging situations and finding practical solutions
• Experience working with vulnerable adults would be advantageous
