About the Role

Rotherwood Cares is currently recruiting experienced Senior Care Assistants to join a well-established dementia and elderly care service in Chorley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant looking for regular ongoing work with the flexibility of a casual contract. We have a variety of day and night shifts available, offering the opportunity to work consistent hours within a supportive care environment.

You will play a key role in supporting elderly residents, including those living with dementia and complex care needs, while working alongside a dedicated care team to maintain the highest standards of person-centred care.

Due to increased demand, we are looking for reliable and experienced Senior Care Assistants who are passionate about making a positive difference to residents’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to elderly residents
  • Supporting residents living with dementia and complex care needs
  • Assisting with personal care and daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
  • Leading and supporting care teams during shifts
  • Completing care records and documentation accurately
  • Supporting with medication administration where trained and authorised
  • Promoting residents’ choices, wellbeing, and quality of life
  • Following safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures
  • Acting as a positive role model and supporting junior care staff

About You

We are looking for Senior Care Assistants who have:

  • Previous experience working within elderly care, dementia care, or a similar setting
  • Experience working at Senior Care Assistant level
  • A strong understanding of person-centred care
  • The ability to lead, support, and motivate other care staff
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A caring, reliable, and professional approach
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional standards of care
