This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about recovery, inclusion, and empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals.

About the Role

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will support a caseload of individuals by providing tailored employment support from initial assessment through to securing and sustaining work.

  • Providing end-to-end IPS support, including assessment, vocational profiling, job searching, and in-work support
  • Supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
  • Building strong relationships with local employers and sourcing suitable job opportunities
  • Working collaboratively with health professionals, treatment services, and wider support networks
  • Delivering person-centred support that promotes confidence, independence, and recovery
  • Monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and achieving agreed targets and outcomes
  • Supporting individuals to remain in employment through ongoing in-work guidance

About You

We are looking for an Employment Specialist who has:

Essential:

  • Experience within employment support, health and social care, or the voluntary sector
  • Experience providing one-to-one support to individuals
  • Experience managing a caseload and working towards targets/outcomes
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to motivate and empower individuals
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive, resilient, and person-centred approach

Desirable:

  • Knowledge or experience of the IPS model
  • Experience supporting individuals affected by substance misuse or mental health challenges
  • Employer engagement or business development experience
  • Knowledge of the local labour market

Key Skills & Attributes

The successful candidate will be:

  • Passionate about supporting recovery, inclusion, and positive change
  • Non-judgemental and committed to person-centred support
  • Confident engaging with employers and building professional relationships
  • Outcome-focused while ensuring client choice remains central
  • Resilient and adaptable when supporting individuals with complex barriers

What Good Looks Like

You will demonstrate:

  • A proven ability to achieve positive employment outcomes
  • Strong employer relationships and networking skills
  • Experience working within integrated services
  • The ability to meet performance targets while maintaining high-quality support

What We Offer

  • Salary of £29,718 per annum
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Community-based role with local travel
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
