Rotherwood Cares is recruiting experienced Care Assistants to join our agency team, supporting a well-established Extra Care Housing service in Burnley.

You will support adults living independently within their own apartments, helping residents maintain their dignity, wellbeing, and independence while delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them live as independently as possible while ensuring their individual needs are met.
You will work as part of a friendly and supportive care team, providing compassionate care and making a positive difference to residents’ daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Providing personal care with dignity, respect, and compassion
- Supporting residents with washing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling
- Promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing
- Supporting with meals, hydration, and nutrition
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns
- Completing accurate care records and documentation
- Following safeguarding, infection prevention, and health and safety procedures
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding care
Shift Patterns Available
We offer a variety of flexible agency shifts, including:
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekday shifts
- Weekend shifts
Work as much or as little as you like, with shifts available to suit your availability.
About You
We are looking for Care Assistants who have:
- Previous experience working as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant
- A caring, compassionate, and reliable approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to delivering person-centred care
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
Essential Requirements
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one
- Up-to-date mandatory training or willingness to complete this
- A positive attitude and passion for supporting others
