About the Role

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am-6pm (rotational shifts – 37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £26,277.50 basic + progression to £30K+ OTE (subject to KPI attainment and progression after 6 months)

 

The Role

We are looking for a confident and customer-focused Call Centre Operator to join a busy and fast-paced customer service team. This is a predominantly phone-based role, handling a high volume of inbound customer calls daily whilst delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls daily (approximately 40 calls per day).
  • Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient customer service on every interaction.
  • Resolve customer queries at first point of contact wherever possible.
  • Manage customer enquiries relating to accounts, billing, appointments, and general support.
  • Respond to customer communications via phone, email, webchat, and social media.
  • Accurately log all customer interactions and update internal systems.
  • Escalate complaints and complex queries in line with company procedures.
  • Work towards individual and team performance targets and KPIs.
  • Support customers using online self-service platforms and digital tools.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure smooth resolutions.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience within a call centre, contact centre, or high-volume customer service environment.
  • Is confident handling a large number of customer calls daily.
  • Has excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Remains calm and professional under pressure.
  • Is confident using multiple computer systems and Microsoft Office.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within customer service or call centre operations preferred.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) and/or NVQ Level 2–3 in Customer Service or Administration preferred.
